The Structural Geology and Tectonics Group at Harvard University is pleased to offer a field-based instructional course on seismic interpretation of fault-related folds. The course uses field examples from the Front Ranges of the Canadian Rockies to illustrate structural concepts and methods. Supported by an extensive atlas-style guidebook, students apply these concepts to interpret seismic reflection data from various petroleum basins and fold-and-thrust belts, including the North and South America Cordilleras, the Tarim and Sichuan basins (China), the deep-water Niger Delta and Gulf of Mexico toe-thrust systems.
